The implications for wine drinkers are significant. It is quite remarkable the difference Winewizard has on a glass of wine. Transforming a closed young wine into a more open, well-structured and integrated wine is impressive. I have not before seen any technology to achieve this so quickly.

After six months of putting Winewizard through extensive testing in our world class facilities at the UK's Centre of Excellence for Wine, Plumpton College, we were astonished by how effective it is. We could not believe it at first, but the results from our laboratory testing just don’t lie, it’s quite amazing.

I’ve tested these types of products before so I was sceptical that it could make this much difference, but it’s unmistakable. When you taste the same wine before and after it’s been transformed by this invention it is quite simply extraordinary how much better - and more expressive - it then taste. It really does accelerate wine ageing.
Oxygen ages wine
Oxidisation is the main reason wine ages in the bottle. Low quantities of oxygen (around 1mg per year) pass through the cork. Oxygen slowly reacts with compounds in the wine, softening tannins, boosting flavours, and reducing sulfites, delivering a more expressive, well-rounded, and expensive tasting wine.
Decanting lets it breath.
Ethanol aromas and other unwanted VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds) like sulphides and mercaptans that can mask the bouquet, evaporate from the wine over several hours.
Winewizard replicates this process:
'Low oxygen' bubbles instantly react with compounds in the wine, replicating the effects of bottle ageing.
The bubbles Increase the surface area, speeding the evaporation effects of decanting.
Oxygen molecules bond with the sulfites, neutralising them to harmless sulfates.
Decanting & ageing, instantly! To visualize this process, please take a moment to watch our demonstration video here.
Yes it does!
Whether you've spent £6 or £60 on your wine (red, white or Rosé) you'll see all these amazing improvements using Winewizard.

How does wine improve over time in the bottle and in a decanter?
Have you ever wondered why wine gets better with age? Well, most foods are best when fresh, but wine is a special exception. It needs time to taste its best, and that process is called aging, and once opened decanting.

Boosts Flavours | Softens Tannins
Precise quantities of oxygen react with tannins, flavonoids and other compounds, reducing astringency (harshness) and boosting the wine’s flavours and aromas, delivering silkier smoother wine.
-
Reduce Sulfites | Reduce Headaches
Sulfites are added to wines to act as a preservative. Many people are sensitive to sulfites which are known to cause headaches. Winewizard’s micro-oxygen technology targets them, neutralising and lowering their concentration, reducing the occurrence of headaches.
-
Removes Unpleasant Compounds
Winewizard infuses millions of microbubbles into your wine, allowing naturally occurring, unpleasant volatile ethanol and sulphur to escape which mask the true aromas and taste.
Let customers speak for us
from 67 reviewsHaving used the Winewizard device for about a month or so and been delighted with the product and its effectiveness, I very much welcomed the new subscription offer for which I have now signed up for a monthly delivery of a replacement cartridge. This commitment just makes it so much easier and convenient to ensure a stock of refills and represents good value for money.
Love this great Xmas pressy for the wine lover. Quick delivery
I have used the Winewizard and noticed the difference in taste, as have some of my friends in a blind taste. It has also helped with my salicylates / sulphites allergy buildup, meaning I can enjoy more wine!
Very helpful customer service.
Improved the taste of all wines so far "winewizarded!"
first read the instructions I did not with the result that I covered myself and our kitchen in red wine the secret is to VERY VERY LIGHTLY SQUEEZE THE TRIGGER FOR THE GAS release.
the wines that I have are mostly reds with a price range of £8 to £28 a bottle, in my opinion the product does not improve a very good wine ,but it does improve a wine that is on the sharp or thin side I taste the wine first and if it is not to my liking i will then use the wine wizard which will normally improve the wine ,to that end I am pleased with the product.
These are great. You can really taste the difference between a glass that has been aerated & one that hasn't. Good present for a wine lover & a great partypiece!
I bought this as a gift and it was loved. Had a problem with delivery which was instantly resolved. Would recommend this company to anyone.
very good and easy to use
The product does have some effect on improving the taste of cheap wine. However, it is very expensive for what it is. Also, I have poured the wine into a decanter and the bubbles overflow
even before the recommended aerating time, so it difficult to control.
The Wine Wizard was for someone else but I was so impressed with your service that I wanted to say thank you. I left it very late for Christmas and there was nowhere to ask for it to be expedited but you did it anyway and it arrived so quickly.
But neither my wife or I could notice any difference in a blind test we setup. I really wish I could say something more positive but I can’t.
After reading a review on this I thought I would try it, well it seems to do what it says on the it would.
I have only used it with one bottle of white and one bottle of red so far, but it definitely seems to improve the taste.
Took a little while to understand the instructions as I didn’t want to break it by doing something wrong, although is very simple to use once you know. Tried on a bottle of Chateauneuf du pape and could immediately taste the difference in quality. This took away any sharp edges from the taste of the wine (not that there were many) making the wine taste much smoother. Love it
Little time during holiday period to try WW. Only one bottle so far with glass of red removed. Noticeable difference between first glass and rest of bottle. Very promising.
I have tried several 'magic remedies' for ageing wine over the years. The most expensive was a gadget called Clef du Vin which had a metal insert in a stainless steel blade which claimed to achieve remarkable results. I wasn't convinced and stopped using it a few years ago. I still have it so might compare the effect with WW later.
Returning to WineWizard (WW) I have played about with it on a few different wines so far. On a white from an unusual Portuguese grape ( Fernao Pires), sold as Wrong Turn by Aldi it made no discernable difference. I haven't tried it on other whites.
For the reds much more interesting. I always double decant these using a mechanical cradle and pour the decanted wine back into the bottle. I prefer to drink wine form it's original bottle and it gives it a bit more 'air' in the process.
First experiment was on a bottle of Rioja Reserva which had Ben sitting on a shelf in the house while we had been away in France for 4 months. It was about 1/4 full and on tasting, as expected, barely drinkable. A quick fizz with WW made it quite acceptable to drink - not fully restored admittedly but a completely unexpected effect. A bottle of modest 'pub' Malbec was hardly affected at all but a Crus Bourgois Margaux 1996 (d'Arsac) which I had marked to need a year or two longer when fort tasted last year was improved a lot. The harsh tannins softened and the nose opened up a lot.
Next experiment will be on a Bordeaux Superieur which needs more time and, rather extravagantly on a 2018 Duhart Milon which needs at least another 4-5 years before I would normally try drinking it.
So far it has been interesting and I am optimistic that it will continue to be a useful addition to my cellar accessories.
